 TILES

  • To which substance can seamless flooring be applied?
Basically, on all solid, load-bearing and undamaged substrates - screed and tiles. Application is also possible on dry screeds with appropriate preparatory work. Carpeting, Linoleum and Wood are not suitable.
  • How expensive is levelling flooring?
This depends on what preparatory work is required and which substrates are to be seamlessly coated. A concrete-look floor has a different price per m² than a concrete-look staircase or a completely seamless bathroom that is to be coated and modernized by us.
  • How long can the floors hold up without joints?
In the variants we manufacture, a floor will last at least 15 - 20 years. With good treatment and proper use, nothing stands in the way of a long service life. The service life of a seamless floor is equivalent to that of a well-finished tiled floor or a high-quality, well-laid parquet floor.
  • Is it possible to create a seamless floor outdoors on a terrace or steps?
Can be applied to exterior surfaces under the following conditions: a. The substrate must be waterproof so that water cannot penetrate into it. b. The substrate must be sound with no loose spots or cracks which may be transferred to the finished surface. c. The substrate shall have proper slopes to prevent water from collecting on the surface. d. repeat waterproofing every 2-3 years depending on use. e. If cracking occurs, immediate restoration.
  • How long does it take to complete the joint - free floor / wall / ceiling?
As a rule, we need about 7 - 10 working days for the construction of a seamless floor - depending on the version. These are all approximate figures and of course depend on the specific surface and prevailing conditions.
  • Do the tiles have to be removed from the existing surface, before the Kourasanit material is applied with a spatula, in order to make the surface joint - free?
If the substrate, i.e. the tiles, is not stable, then they should be removed and in this way ensure a long life of the floor, wall or ceiling. However, if they are stable and not broken, they can be left in place.
